This New Zealand-based duo takes cues from the melancholy songwriting camp, loading up on firewood from both the Beach Boys and Beatles stacks, as well as the more experimental aspects of the Pink Floyd realm.
The result on SKALLANDER, a second release for the band, is a less electronic affair than their debut. With mellow, harmonized vocals, the outfit sings and strums their way into a pleasant pop sensibility with a slight experimental edge.
